Make cat, fox, owl and frog finger puppets with a measured paper band. Print one character or the complete set, choose outline or colored artwork and adjust the finished ring circumference.

Each puppet combines a small animal face with an attached flat band. Curl that band into a ring and attach its extra overlap at the dashed guide. The character body stays approximately the same size while the ring circumference changes, so fit and artwork scale are separate decisions.
💡A few useful answers
Is the glue tab included in the circumference?
No. The chosen circumference describes the intended finished ring, and a further 10 mm is added for overlap. A 60 mm setting therefore makes a 70 mm flat band. Join at the dashed mark to preserve the intended measurement.
Why did a larger ring add another page?
The generator keeps every template at its selected physical size and packs only complete shapes. A longer band occupies more horizontal room, so fewer templates may fit per sheet. Page count changes instead of silently shrinking the ring.
Can I make the character taller?
The character size is fixed in this editor; the adjustable measurement is the ring circumference. Enlarging the whole file in a print dialog would also change the band and overlap. Use the normal output size and review fit with a trial.
Measure the band instead of enlarging the picture
✏️The finished ring circumference can be set from 35 to 70 millimetres. The template adds a fixed 10 mm glue overlap beyond that measurement. For example, a 50 mm finished ring uses a 60 mm flat band before joining. Do not include the overlap when deciding the desired circumference, and do not scale the print afterward to make the face larger.
The band is 12 mm high and the animal body is about 35 by 45 mm. Increasing the ring setting lengthens the band while keeping the character drawing fixed. A paper trial helps establish whether a ring slides on comfortably and stays in place for the intended activity. The paper doll kit offers a larger character format when a finger-sized face is too small.
Choose a character set for a short scene
Choose cat, fox, owl or frog to repeat one role, or choose all four for a mixed set. Copies repeat the selected set: four copies of all characters means sixteen templates, while four copies of frog means four frogs. The editor places complete templates on successive pages. A larger ring can reduce how many fit on one sheet, without clipping or shrinking the bands.
Outline artwork leaves room for colored pencils, character names or distinguishing marks. Colored artwork supplies a simple ready finish. You can give two identical animals different voices or roles without needing another generator design. For a larger wearable character in the same storytelling session, paper animal masks use their own eye and width controls rather than these ring measurements.
Cut and assemble complete templates
📝Cut the outer boundary as one connected template. The dashed band mark is a joining guide, not a cut that separates the character from its ring. Curve the band, bring the end to the marked position and attach the overlap. The face remains above the band. This design has no moving limbs, folded mouth mechanism or glove pattern, so its assembly stays small and direct.
Prepare one puppet before making many copies, especially when changing paper thickness. Small changes in the join can alter the practical fit even though the printed band is dimensionally correct. Keep each finished set together for reuse. Cutting worksheets can provide a separate warm-up for following corners and curves without risking the final character sheet.

Four animals to color
Choose all four characters, a 50 mm ring, outline artwork and one copy of the set. This produces one of each animal. The printed bands each include an additional 10 mm overlap, while all character bodies retain the same standard size.
Choose frog, a 60 mm ring, colored artwork and four copies. The editor repeats the complete frog template four times and paginates at full size. Assemble one first so the remaining three can use a confirmed joining position.
