Think in three directions.
The grid combines vertical lines with two diagonal directions at 30 degrees to the horizontal. Follow those directions to sketch cubes, structures and arrangements of objects. It is a drawing guide, not a substitute for a dimensioned technical drawing.
A triangular grid with a precise side length.
The spacing control sets the side of each equilateral triangle. The grid is clipped inside the minimum margins, so partial triangles at its edges are normal. Use a lighter line color when you want your own drawing to stand out.

A few useful answers
What does the spacing setting mean?
It is the triangle side length in the PDF. It is not the horizontal distance between the vertical lines, which is smaller.
Why are there partial triangles at the edge?
The triangular pattern is clipped to the rectangular drawing area inside your margins.
Can I print landscape paper?
Yes. Choose landscape orientation and the grid will be regenerated for the wider sheet.
