The purchase column shows the positive difference between minimum stock and current quantity. Empty quantities stay unknown rather than being treated as zero.

A few useful answers

Does the date tell me whether an item is safe to use?

No. The date is a label you enter from the package or your records. The sheet does not assess storage conditions or decide whether a product is usable.

How should I arrange the information?

Record one location or batch per row when dates differ. Sort by location for a cupboard check or by date to review dated entries first.

What does the difference mean?

With a quantity of 2 and a minimum of 5, the purchase column shows 3 in the same unit. Filter to replenishment items to print only shortages.
