Write X and O directly on the paper. Each small board has a result line, and the names at the top identify the two players.

A few useful answers

How does five in a row differ?

Classic mode needs three marks on a 3 × 3 board. Five-in-a-row mode uses 15 × 15 or 19 × 19 squares; any straight run of at least five wins.

Plan a paper tournament

Four boards leave more room for larger marks. Nine or sixteen fit a series of quick rounds on one page. Choose a line thickness that stays visible on your printer.

Alternate who moves first between rounds. Record the winning symbol or a draw below each board, then add the results to compare the whole series.
